Winnipeg Jets fans can get a sneak peek at the team’s future through the Jets’ participation in the 2023 Young Stars Classic. The four-day event will be held in Penticton, B.C., from September 15th to the 18th. The group will begin to practice together on Wednesday, September 13th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hockey For All Center in Winnipeg.

Who Is Playing for the Winnipeg Jets

The Jets will send the following lineup to participate in the event:

Colby Barlow – Jacob Julien – Chaz Lucius
Thomas Caron – Brad Lambert – Henri Nikkanen
Nikita Chibrikov – Connor Levis – Daniel Torgersson
Parker Ford – Mark Liwiski – Danny Zhilkin
Carson Golder (extra forward)

Tyrel Bauer – Simon Lundmark
Artemi Kniazev – Elias Salomonsson
Dimitry Kuzmin – Jordan Tourigny
Simon Kubicek – Wyatt Wilson

Important Notes

Highlighting the prospects suiting up for the Winnipeg Jets in this year’s Young Stars Classic includes the three most recent first-round selections in the NHL Draft: Chaz Lucius (2021), Brad Lambert (2022), and Colby Barlow (2023).

The Jets will play three games across the four-day event. They will first play the Edmonton Oilers on Friday, September 15th. The Jets will follow up with a game against the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday, September 17th. To close the event, the Jets will face off against the Calgary Flames on the event’s final day.

Winnipeg Jets fans can view the games live on WinnipegJets.com to see the franchise’s brightest prospects.

Since the Young Stars Classic was held, the Winnipeg Jets have participated in the event eight times. The NHL’s work stoppage was held in 2012, the event not being held in 2019, and 2020, when the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was the only time the team didn’t participate.
