Preview of Winnipeg Jets vs Buffalo Sabres

The Jets were in Raleigh on Saturday and stole two points from their opponents. The Jets scored five straight in the final 20 minutes of the game. However, it wasn’t completely great as Gabriel Vilardi was sent back to Winnipeg to be further evaluated for injury.

It is questionable if someone comes out of the lineup today for Cole Perfetti who was a healthy scratch against Carolina. Perfetti has gone 18 games without a goal and 15 games without a point. His sophomore slump is slowly getting worse as each game passes.

Buffalo steamrolled the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday by a score of 7-2. Both teams will be relatively tired on the second game of a back-to-back, but the 6:00 pm CST puck drop should provide a competitive game for the fans in Buffalo.

Buffalo is 7-3-0 in their last 10 games while Winnipeg is 8-2-0 in their last 10 games. Buffalo sits 10 points out of a wild card spot, meaning they are unlikely to make the 2024 NHL Playoffs. The Winnipeg Jets sit in second place in the Central Division two points back of Dallas with four games in hand.
