Winnipeg Jets Sign Top-Prospect Nikita Chibrikov

Drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the 2021 NHL entry draft, Nikita Chibrikov brings a well-rounded game to the Jet’s roster.

Born on February 16th, 2003, in Moscow, Russia, Chibrikov has spent the previous three seasons split between the VHL, MHL, and the KHL. Chibrikov has played 51 career games over three seasons, recording two goals, assists, and 14 PIMs. (Player details via EliteProspects & HockeyDB)

Monday, May 1st, the Winnipeg Jets announced that they have signed their 2021 second-round pick, Nikita Chibrikov, to a three-year, entry-level contract carrying an average annual value in the NHL of $925,000. This deal will begin in the 2023-24 season. Furthermore, Nikita Chibrikov has reported to the Winnipeg Jets AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, on a professional tryout contract for the remainder of the season.
