Latest Dallas Stars News and Updates

The Dallas Stars have made several headlines so far this offseason. Independence Day 2024 has come and gone, but the Stars have recently made a few headlines. Here are the latest Stars news and updates.

Dallas Stars Prospects

In case you missed it, the Stars’ prospects wrapped up their four-day development camp on Thursday, July 4, just in time for the Fourth of July celebrations. The Stars prospects learned valuable lessons on and off the ice, while the Stars’ scouting staff finds the 20-something core of the team’s roster.

Rich Peverley, the Director of Player Development, told NHL.com, “It’s incredible … I can’t say enough about getting everybody into Dallas and getting everyone to meet the hockey operations staff, the coaching staff, the AHL coaches. This is the start of the process for them. It’s just the first step for a lot of these guys, but it’s important.”

Dallas Stars’ 2024 NHL Draft Class
The Stars tweeted a photo of the team’s 2024 NHL Draft class on Friday, July 5.

The Stars’ 2024 NHL Draft class consists of Niilopekka Muhonen, Emil Hemming, and William Samuelsson. Muhonen is a Finnish defensive defenseman, Hemming is a Finnish forward who plays right wing, and Samuelsson is a Swedish forward who’s a two-way center.

Dallas Stars’ New Streaming Service
The Stars left Bally Sports and the Diamonds Sports Group. The Stars’ departure resulted in a new, free, direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming service, VICTORY+, starting in the 2024-25 NHL season. That said, Stars fans can stream the team’s games for free on victoryplustv this fall.
