Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid Update

The Edmonton Oilers play a back-to-back. Tonight the Oilers face the Dallas Stars at 10:00 PM EST, and then tomorrow, they face the Seattle Kraken in Seattle at 10:00 PM EST. They will be with their top scorers tonight, as head coach Kris Knoblauch said Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl will not play tonight. Draisaitl is expected back sooner than McDavid. According to Knoblauch, it sounds like likely a week or maybe shorter for Draisaitl, it’ll be longer for McDavid.

Leon Draisaitl

Draisaitl is in his 11th season with the Oilers. He has played in 787 career games, recording 951 points on 396 goals and 555 assists. He is a career +85 and has 327 career power-play points on 161 goals. Draisaitl won the Hart Trophy in 2019-20 as well as the Art Ross Trophy. He is a +160 for his career and has 362 power-play points on 87 power-play goals. He’s won the Art Ross Trophy five times and the Hart Trophy three times. He won the Conn-Smythe Trophy last season despite losing the Stanley Cup. This season in 63 games, he has 90 points on 26 goals and 94 assists. McDavid is a +11 and has 29 power-play goals, with nine of those coming via goals.
