The 2024 NHL season ended two days ago and the chaos has ensued as expected with trades going down even right before the puck dropped on game seven of the Stanley Cup. Today another occurred between the the Los Angeles Kings and the San Jose Sharks as the Kings dealt restricted free agent forward Carl Grundstrom to the Sharks for defenseman Kyle Burroughs.

D – Kyle Burroughs
Burrough was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He has spent time with three teams in his NHL tenure playing for the Colorado Avalanche, Vancouver Canucks, and the San Jose Sharks playing in 168 games, he has 19 points on five goals and 14 assists, he is a minus 48 for his career; he has 188 penalty minutes and 530 hits. Last season with the Sharks he played in 73 games recording a career-high eight points on two goals and six assists; he was a minus 42, and a career-high in penalty minutes with 71 as well as hits with 233.

F – Carl Grundstrom
Grundstrom was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft. He’s only played for the Kings in the NHL playing in 236 games recording 67 points on 40 goals and 27 assists, he is a career minus 14, with 84 penalty minutes, and 564 hits. Last season he played in only 50 games recording 12 points on eight goals and four assists; he was a minus-two, with 12 penalty minutes, and 115 hits.
