Max Pacioretty Inching Closer To Return

TVA Sports

Christmas has come early. The Carolina Hurricanes have activated forward Max Pacioretty from the injured non-roster list. With the trade deadline within reach, this is a huge upgrade to the roster. The Carolina Hurricanes currently sit first in the Metropolitan Division.

Max Pacioretty Nearing Return

Finally, the organization and the fan base get to see what Pacioretty looks like in black and red. After being acquired this offseason, he has been out with an Achilles heel injury. Now that he has recovered, his goal scoring ability is a huge boost to the lineup.

The Impact

If there is one thing he has done consistently throughout his career, it is putting the puck in the net. His finishing ability is excellent, and he has the ability to play on the power play. Pacioretty is a 6x 30 goal scorer while also hitting the 20 goal mark twice. In addition, he has fallen shy of the 10-goal mark twice. While playing in 850 games, he has 323 goals, 319 assists, and 642 points.

When it comes to goals, Carolina has the ability to score, but this is a boost. The team ranks 16th with 77 goals at 5v5 and ranks 20th with 115 in all situations. Their 26th-ranked power play will be receiving a boost as well.

Carolina has their next upcoming game Thursday Night at home against the Nashville Predators.
