Mid-Season Odds For Rocket Richard Trophy Winner

Halfway through the season, there is no clear favorite to win the Rocket Richard Trophy. This year’s competition features some of the league’s best young stars and veterans the NHL has to offer.

As it stands right now, the top three goal scorers in the league are Connor McDavid (37), David Pastrnak (33), and Tage Thompson (31). While these three are the leaders of the pack, veteran Alex Ovechkin is within striking distance at 30 goals, and it is only a matter of time until he slots himself back into the top three. Newcomers Jason Robertson and Bo Horvat also sit at 29 and 30 goals a piece as they are having career years.

This Trophy is awarded to the player who finishes the regular season with the most goals, making it somewhat hard to bet on, especially when the field is so close. These are the best goal scorers in the world, and on any given night, they are cable of scoring a hat trick or, in Tage Thompson’s case, five goals. Through the hallway mark, the competition has stayed neck and neck. It just takes one game for a player to flip the script and become the new number one.

It is anyone’s Trophy to take, but one of Connor McDavid or David Pastrnak will most likely be the winner, as these two just can’t be stopped.

For those that wish to bet on who wins the Rocket Richard Trophy for the 2022-23 season, please see the following odds:

  • Connor McDavid +175
  • David Pastrnak +250
