AHL: Thomas Milic Signs Contract With Manitoba Moose

The Manitoba Moose announced today on Friday, October 6th, that they’ve signed goaltender Thomas Milic to a one-year AHL contract through the 2023-24 season.

The Winnipeg Jets selected Milic, a 20-year-old goaltender from New Westminister, British Colombia, in the fifth round at 151st overall in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Milic went undrafted in the 2021 and 2022 NHL Entry Draft before finally getting to hear his name called on NHL Draft Day.

Milic was the Seattle Thunderbirds goalie that helped propel them to the 2023 Memorial Cup. Milic’s 27-3-1 record, alongside his 2.08 goals-against average and a 0.928 save percentage, was a massive factor in the Thunderbirds 2023 Memorial Cup Championship. Milic also earned the Del Wilson Trophy as the WHL Goaltender of the Year, and he also earned the honor of being selected to the CHL First All-Star Team.

Throughout Milic’s junior career with the Thunderbirds, he’s accumulated a 60-23-5 record, a 2.35 goals-against average, and a 0.917 save percentage.

On the international circuit, Milic was a key piece to Team Canada winning a gold medal at the 2023 World Junior Championships. Milic posted a 5-0-0 record with a 1.76 goals-against average and a 0.932 save percentage at the tournament.
