The Minnesota Wild return on Saturday night against the Nashville Predators. They have dropped two straight games as of late and are 6-4-0 in their last ten. They hold the second spot in the Central Division over the Dallas Stars who trail Minnesota by one point. Last night they lost 5-3 to the Edmonton Oilers. Today they activated forward Jakub Lauko off IR, Lauko has been out since December 14th with a lower-body injury. He will replace Marcus Johansson who suffered an upper-body injury in last night’s loss. They also sent forwards Devin Shore and Ben Jones down to the Iowa Wild of the AHL.

Jakub Lauko
The Wild acquired Lauko from the Bruins on June 29, 2024. In his first season with Minnesota, he has four points in 24 games on two goals and two assists. He is a minus-six and has 16 penalty minutes. One of his goals for the Wild was a game-winner. Last season, with the Bruins he had his best season of his career recording ten points on two goals and eight assists.

Devin Shore
Shore is in his first season with the Wild after signing a one-year, two-way contract on July 1, 2024. He’s played in 25 games with Minnesota recording one point on an assist. He is a minus-four this season. Shore, in his NHL career, has played in 468 games. He’s recorded 140 points on 51 goals and 89 assists. He’s played in 14 games in Iowa this season recording ten points on two goals and eight assists, he is a -11.
Ben Jones
Jones signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Wild on July 1, 2024. He played in 26 games for the Wild but didn’t record a point, he was a minus-three. In Iowa this season in 14 games he has 12 points on four goals and eight assists, he is a minus-three there.
