Montreal Canadiens Christian Dvorak Out Again

The Montreal Canadiens will be out once again as SportsNets Eric Engels announced that Christian Dvorak will be out indefinitely with an upper-body injury pending tests, as the Canadiens announced that he will return to Montreal. It’s unknown how the injury occurred as Dvorak played nearly 16 minutes in Saturday’s 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers. It’s been a rough season for the 27-year-old forward, who missed the first 10 ten games of the season as he was still recovering from knee surgery. Dvorak has three goals and four assists for seven points in 25 games this season. The Canadiens are already without Tanner Pearson, Alex Newhook, Kirby Dach, and Rafael Harvey-Pinard up front.

Montreal is back in action tonight vs Tampa Bay Lightning, and with no extra forwards on the roster, Montreal is expected to go 11-7 as Jonathan Kovacevic will draw back into the Habs lineup. Kovacevic has played in 33 games with the Habs this season, putting up four goals and an assist for five points. The Habs have one more game on their road trip, as they will travel to Dallas to play the Stars on Tuesday before returning home to Montreal; it is unknown if the Habs will wait till they get home to make a call-up or have another forward from Laval meet them in Dallas.
