Montreal Canadiens Swap Forwards On Waiver Wire

The Montreal Canadiens have been busy with the waiver wire today as the team has claimed center Colin White off waivers from the Pittsburgh Penguins. White has played 11 games with the Penguins this season, failing to find the scoresheet, but has five goals and five assists for 10 points in 21 games with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Penguins of the AHL. The Former first-round pick of the Ottawa Senators has played in 303 NHL games, putting up 44 goals and 69 assists for 113 points while spending time with the Ottawa Senators, Florida Panthers, and Pittsburgh Penguins.

In a corresponding move, the Canadiens have placed Brandon Gignac on Waivers. Gignac has one goal in seven games with the Canadiens. He has 14 goals and 28 assists for 42 points in 43 games with the Laval Rocket.
