The NHL Trade Deadline is tomorrow at 3:00 PM ET. The Nashville Predators will take on the Buffalo Sabres tonight at 8:00 PM at the Bridgestone Arena. The Predators are coming off a tough 4-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night in overtime. The Predators are currently holding the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference and are ahead of the St. Louis Blues and Seattle Kraken by six points but have played one more game than both those teams. Today they traded for a forward to help give them some depth in their bottom six by acquiring Anthony Beauvillier from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2024 draft.
Anthony Beauvillier By The Numbers
Beauvillier was drafted by the New York Islanders with the 28th overall pick in the 2015 NHL draft. He made his debut for the Islanders on October 13, 2016, against the New York Rangers and in that game he recorded his first career point recording an assist; he scored his first goal two games later against the San Jose Sharks. He played 457 games with the Islanders recording 209 points on 102 goals and 107 assists. On January 30, 2023, he was traded to the Vancouver Canucks where he played 55 games and recorded 28 points on 11 goals and 17 assists. He was traded by the Canucks to the Chicago Blackhawks on November 28, 2023, for a fifth-round draft pick in 2024, and with Chicago this season he has played in 23 games and has six points on two goals and four assists. This season overall between Vancouver and Chicago he has 14 points in 45 games on four goals and ten assists. In his career, he has played in 535 games and has 243 points on 115 goals and 128 assists.
