Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche Swap Goalies

NHL Game Preview: Nashville Predators vs. Colorado Avalanche with Line Combinations 12/14/2024

The Predators are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning last night while the Avalanche are coming off a 5-3 loss to the Dallas Stars last night. Both teams are playing tonight and the two expected starting goalies for those games have now been traded as the Predators traded Scott Wedgewood to Colorado in exchange for Justus Annunen and a 2025 sixth-round pick.

Scott Wedgewood

Wedgewood in his first season with Nashville made five appearances going 1-2-1 with a 3.69 goals against average and a .878 save percentage. For his career, he is 49-50-23 with a 3.01 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage. This is his third Central Division team in two seasons.

Justus Annunen

Annunen gives Nashville a younger netminder behind Juuse Saros. He’s 6-4-0 this season with a 3.23 goals-against average and a .872 save percentage. The 24-year-old Finnish goalie is 16-9-2 for his career with a .902 save percentage and a 2.81 goals-against average.
