Andreas Englund

Englund was drafted 40th overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. The 29-year-old 6-3 189 lbs defenseman is now on his fifth different team. In seven seasons he has played in 173 games. He has 18 points on two goals and 16 assists and is a -17. He has 147 blocked shots and 426 hits. In his first four seasons with Ottawa, he played in 33 games recording three assists, and was a -12. He had 20 blocked shots and 84 hits. Englund then signed with the Colorado Avalanche. He played in 36 games recording three assists and was a plus-one. Englund had 20 blocked shots and 104 hits. He was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks where in 11 games he had an assist, and was a minus-two. He had 13 blocked shots and 29 hits.

Last season in his first season in Los Angeles in 82 games he scored his first career goal and had nine assists. He was a minus-three and had 87 blocked shots and 189 hits. This season in 11 games he has one goal and is a minus-one. He has seven blocked shots and 20 hits. Hopefully, a change going to Predators will be just what Englund needs to return to the season he had last year.
