The New Jersey Devils have announced that Cal Foote and Michael McLeod are taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team. New Jersey did not comment further on the absences. The news comes less than 24 hours after Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart announced that he was taking a leave of absence.

It’s unknown if it’s related, but Elliotte Friedman reported that five players from the 2018 Canadian Olympic Team are expected to surrender themselves. Alex Forementon was also granted a leave of absence from his team as he was playing overseas. That makes four players in the last 24 hours from the 2018 team to abundantly take a leave of absence.

The London Police said, “We are unable to provide an update at this time. When we have further information regarding this investigation, we will contact media outlets.
