Last night, the New Jersey Devils suffered a tough loss to the Florida Panthers, dropping the game 4-3. Vitek Vanecek got the start in goal, and he stopped 26 of the 30 shots he saw; and the Devils got goals from Michael McLeod, his first of the year, Erik Haula, his second of the year, and Jesper Bratt, his third of the year. The Devils don’t play until Friday, when they take on the New York Islanders at 7:30 PM. Today, they announced they have placed goaltender Keith Kinkaid on waivers, meaning he can now be claimed by any of the other 31 teams in the league; if he clears waivers tomorrow, he will be sent to the AHL, where he would play for the Chicago Wolves who he signed a contract with on July 18th.
