New York Islanders Sign 24-Year-Old to Two-Way Contract

The New York Islanders today signed 24-year-old forward Adam Beckman to a one-year, two-way contract. Beckman was a restricted free agent. The deal carries a $775K AAV for the NHL, and a $150K AAV for the AHL. It also comes with $200K guaranteed. Beckman this season appeared in 55 games between the Bridgeport Islanders and Utica Comets. He had 40 points on 17 goals and 23 assists. He was a -12 with six power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and 26 penalty minutes. In 12 games for Bridgeport, he had seven points on four goals and three assists. He was a minus-five with two power-play goals and a game-winning goal.

Adam Beckman

The Minnesota Wild drafted Beckman 75th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He started his career with the Iowa Wild, where he spent his first four seasons. In 181 games, recording 108 points on 57 goals and 51 assists. He was a -29 with 14 power-play goals, three shorthanded goals, five power-play goals, and 96 penalty minutes. Beckman has also appeared in 23 career NHL games. He’s still searching for his first goal but has three assists. He is a minus-five with 14 penalty minutes.
