New York Rangers Re-Sign 23-Year-Old Forward

The New York Rangers this morning re-signed 23-year-old restricted free agent forward Brendan Brisson. The deal is for one year with a two-way option. The deal includes a $775K NHL AAV and a $100K minors AAV. The contract also includes a $125K guarantee. Brisson was acquired this season in the trade that saw Reilly Smith head to Vegas. In 71 games between the Henderson Silver Knights and Hartford Wolf Pack. He recorded 25 points on seven goals and 18 assists. He was a -33 with two power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and 46 penalty minutes. In 16 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack, he had six points on two goals and four assists. He was a minus-nine with a power-play goal and 12 penalty minutes. Brisson also played in nine games for the Golden Knights and was held pointless. He was also a minus-three.

Brisson played in 117 games over three seasons before the 2024-25 season with the Henderson Silver Knights, recording 83 points on 40 goals and 43 assists. He was a minus-two with 102 penalty minutes, ten power-play goals, and four game-winning goals. In 15 NHL games in 2023-24, he had eight points on two goals and six assists. He was a minus-five with two penalty minutes and two power-play points. In 178 career AHL games, he has 108 points on 47 goals and 61 assists. He is a -35 with 148 penalty minutes, 12 power-play goals, and six game-winning goals.
