The Sabres snapped a two-game skid on Tuesday with a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks. They got goals from Jiri Kulich, JJ Peterka, and Tage Thompson. Thompson is riding a four-game point streak which includes a two-game goal streak. This month, Buffalo is 4-4-1 while averaging 3.22 goals per game and are allowing 3.67 goals per game.

Calgary Flames News & Notes: 

On Saturday the Flames also snapped a two-game skid with a 3-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets. They have won four of their last six games and are 4-4-0 in January. This month the Flames are averaging 2.38 goals per game while allowing 2.63 goals per game. They currently hold the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference and trail the Los Angeles Kings by four points for the third spot in the Pacific Division.
