Calgary Flames News & Notes:

The Flames seem to be holding firm around the deadline after making their move with the Flyers earlier this season. Calgary currently holds the second Wild Card position in the Western Conference, significantly improving from the season expectations. While the roster is a few pieces away from being a Stanley Cup contender, this team could make a run in the playoffs in the right circumstances.

Dallas Stars News & Notes:

Dallas has been rumored to be in on more offensive talent at the trade deadline with their cap flexibility. While Dallas is second in the Central Division and 4th in the NHL in Goals For, they feel a lack of offensive depth in the absence of Tyler Seguin.

Calgary Flames Projected Lines:

Farabee-Backlund-Coleman
Zary-Frost-Pospisil
Lomberg-Rooney-Klapka

Montreal Canadiens Sign Kevin Mandolese To A PTO

The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they have signed goaltender Kevin Mandolese to a PTO. Mandolese, 25, went 11-6 with a 2.87 GAA, .903SV%, and one shutout in 19 games last season with the Colorado Eagles. I would expect him to see some action with Montreal in the preseason. The former sixth-round pick of the […]
