Calgary has won two straight games and is 3-2-0 in their last five games as they maintain a hold on the second wild card spot in the Western Conference. The Flames have a three-point lead on the Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues. The Flames are 8-10-4 on the road this season and won the first matchup against the Wild 4-3 in Calgary on November 23.

The Wild have struggled at home this season with an 11-11-1 record and lost their last game at the Xcel Energy Center 4-0 to the Utah Hockey Club. Tonight the Wild will try to snap their three-game home losing streak as they welcome the Flames. The Wild are 5-5-0 in their last ten games while averaging 2.6 goals and allowing 3.3 goals a game.

Calgary Flames

Calgary has struggled to score all season (31st in goals for) but relies on veteran forwards Jonathan Huberdeau and Nazem Kadri to carry the offense. Huberdeau leads the Flames with 19 goals and Kadri is second on the team with 16 goals. Kadri had an assist in the Flames victory over the Wild in their first meeting.

Minnesota Wild

Marco Rossi has 17 goals and 23 assists as he’s been one of the Wild’s most consistent offensive threats all season long. Matthew Boldy has 5 goals and 5 assists in his last ten games and 41 points overall this season. The two young forwards along with superstar winger Kirill Kaprizov will be the core of the Wild’s offense for years to come.
