Martin Necas signed a long-term deal in the off-season to remain in Carolina with the Hurricanes. The partnership has paid off as Necas leads the ‘Canes in scoring and has points (6g, 12a) in all eight games of the Carolina win streak.

Colorado Avalanche

Nathan MacKinnon leads the Avalanche in scoring this season with 25 points, good for 2nd in the NHL. The dynamic Center from Halifax, Nova Scotia had his 13-game point streak snapped in Colorado’s 1-0 loss to the Jets in Winnipeg on Thursday night.
