Detroit Red Wings News & Notes:

The Red Wings suffered a 2-1 overtime loss on Tuesday to the St. Louis Blues. It was a gut punch as they had the lead in that game with less than 30 seconds left before the Blues tied it and ultimately took the second point in overtime. They are just barely hanging on in the playoff chase as they sit four points back of the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. J.T. Compher has four points in his last four games, with two goals and two assists.
