Last night, they confirmed their first-round matchup in the Stanley Cup playoffs will be the New Jersey Devils. Tonight, they face the team they hope to match up against in the second round of the playoffs.

The Capitals suffered a 4-1 loss on Sunday to the New York Islanders. The lone goal for the Capitals was history as Alex Ovechkin scored goal 895 to set the new record for all-time goals. With five games left in the season, they are still awaiting who they will face in the first round of the playoffs, but signs point to it being the Montreal Canadiens.
