The Chicago Blackhawks travel to Minnesota to face the Wild tonight fresh off an impressive 6-2 win over the Dallas Stars. The ‘Hawks have won two of their last three games, with a win over the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers to go along with their win over Dallas. Chicago has climbed out of last in the Central Division but will need to go on a winning streak to entertain any hope of playing playoff hockey in the Windy City.

Minnesota Wild News & Notes:

The Wild beat the Buffalo Sabres 1-0 on Wednesday night. Filip Gustavsson stopped 39 shots for the shutout. This is the second meeting this season between the Wild and the Blackhawks, with Chicago winning the first meeting 2-1 in overtime, with the game-winning goal scored by Philipp Kurashev. The Wild are currently second in the Central Division.

In the Blackhawks 6-2 win over Dallas on Wednesday night Taylor Hall scored his first hat-trick since December 5, 2013. Hall became the 5th player in NHL history to go ten years between hat-tricks. Hall has nine points on the season with five goals and four assists in 21 games.

Minnesota Wild

Marco Rossi is third on the Wild in scoring with 17 points (6g, 11a) in 22 games played. Rossi is on pace for a 63-point season which would surpass his career-high set last year when he had 40 points (21g, 19a) in 82 games.
