Chicago Blackhawks News & Notes:

The talk in Chicago is now focused on defenseman Seth Jones. He told local reporters over the 4 Nations break that he would accept a trade to a contending team. While Dallas and Florida have been flaunted as potential suitors for Jones, he carries a substantial cap hit that may require the Blackhawks to retain a chunk of his contract in order to facilitate a deal.

Utah has had injury issues on the blueline this season, causing some defensive woes; now that they’re getting healthy again, Utah can make a push in the season’s final months to make the playoffs in their first season.

Opinion: Stars’ Mikko Rantanen Returns to Form At the Right Time

Edmonton Oilers Playoff Thoughts: Round 2, Game 2
