Colorado Avalanche News & Notes

Colorado is facing a plague of injuries this season and still managing to keep themselves in the playoff picture. The Avalanche have won four of their last five games, the one loss in overtime against the Canadiens.

Chicago Blackhawks News & Notes

The Blackhawks are 1-4 in their last five games.

Chicago has made news recently as becoming one of the top destinations for the University of Denver’s David Carle. Anders Sorensen is still the interim head coach in Chicago, and things haven’t improved with the team’s play. Chicago will be sure to make moves on and off the ice this offseason, could Carle be the crown jewel?

Players To Watch:

Colorado Avalanche

Nathan MacKinnon leads the Avalanche in assists and points. Mikko Rantanen is in the last year of his contract and is leading the Avs in goals. Rantanen is reportedly looking to get $14 million AAV on his next contract, and his performance is validating his ask.

Chicago Blackhawks

Taylor Hall is the biggest trade chip on the Blackhawks roster this season. With 21 points in 39 games this season, Hall isn’t exactly lighting up the score sheet.

Edmonton Oilers Thoughts: Stanley Cup Final – Game 2

There haven’t been enough mentions about Corey Perry’s subtle backhand pass on the Overtime winner. The 40-year-old was probably our team’s worst forward in last year’s Playoffs, but the complete 180 he’s made in this year’s Playoffs is what you’d read if you looked up Fountain Of Youth on the internet.
