Colorado Avalanche News & Notes:

The Avalanche have won six in a row as they travel to Minnesota to take on the Wild. Colorado has outscored opponents 31-11 during their winning streak and come into this matchup with a 17-14-0 record on the road. The Avalanche are 35-6-0 in games they score 3+ goals. This is the fourth and final meeting between these two clubs, with Colorado holding a 2-1 season series advantage.

Minnesota Wild News & Notes:

The Wild have lost two in a row and have been outscored 6-2 in those games. Their offense has dipped without superstar winger Kirill Kaprizov. Minnesota is 23rd in goals with 177, and their power play is down to 20th in the NHL. What was originally a four-week timeline for his surgery in late January has turned into a longer recovery than anticipated, but Kaprizov should be ready for the playoffs.
