Colorado Avalanche News & Notes:

With all of the injuries this season, the Avalanche have struggled to keep the winning ways consistent. They’re currently in the first Wild Card position and are four points behind the Minnesota Wild for third place in the Central Division.

It will be interesting to see what additional moves the Avalanche make prior to the trade deadline. They have plenty of space and a general manager who isn’t afraid to pull the trigger.

St. Louis Blues News & Notes:

After adding Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg, the season hasn’t gone as expected for the Blues. Since the coaching change to Jim Montgomery, they are 16-14-4. While St. Louis is only 7 points back of a Wild Card spot, those odds continue to dwindle daily, leading the Blues to take calls on captain Brayden Schenn.
