Columbus has won two games in a row and four of their last five including a 5-2 victory over the Flames on November 29. Columbus has climbed the standings and sits only two points out of a wild card spot. The Blue Jackets are 3-6-2 away from home this season.

The Flames and Blue Jackets will celebrate Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau in Calgary tonight. The Gaudreau family has made the trip out to Calgary for the ceremonies. There have already been some community events around Calgary with benches being made from sticks left for Johnny and Matthew at the Saddledome being dedicated. The Flames will try to shake off a four-game losing streak with a victory against Columbus tonight.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Kent Johnson has points in every game this season. He was injured and missed time but has seven points in the five games since he returned. The 22-year-old pivot has 12 points (6g, 6a) in 9 games for the Blue Jackets. Zack Werenski set a team record for the longest point streak by a defenseman with points in eight straight games. Werenski also leads the Jackets in scoring with 26 points (8g, 18a) in 23 games played.
