Columbus Blue Jackets News & Notes:

Columbus has been a fun exciting team to watch this season, and so far has exceeded expectations. The Blue Jackets are scoring goals at a good clip, 3.55 per game but are struggling defensively. In their last two games, both losses, CBJ has allowed 13 goals. Columbus will have to tighten up their defensive end if they want to continue their unexpected season.

San Jose Sharks News & Notes:

Macklin Celebrini will play tonight in his first game since opening night. The number one overall pick had a sparking debut with a goal and an assist in the first period before getting hurt. Celebrini will be back, centering the top line for San Jose.

Players To Watch:

Columbus Blue Jackets

Sean Monaghan joined the Blue Jackets to play with former teammate and long-time friend Johnny Gaudreau; unfortunately, that didn’t come to pass. Monaghan has been rejuvenated in Columbus and has 11 points (6g, 5a) in 11 games and is on pace to tie his career high in points (82) which he set in Calgary in 2018-2019 playing with Gaudreau.

San Jose Sharks

All eyes will be on the return of Macklin Celebrini. The 18-year-old missed twelve games with a lower-body injury. The rookie should be a boost to a Sharks offense that has scored 2.46 goals a game in his absence.

Injury Report:

Columbus Blue Jackets

C Boone Jenner – IR Month To Month- Est. return March 1

San Jose Sharks

C Thomas Bordeleau – IR

C Logan Couture – LTIR – Month To Month

Edmonton Oilers Thoughts: Stanley Cup Final – Game 2

There haven’t been enough mentions about Corey Perry’s subtle backhand pass on the Overtime winner. The 40-year-old was probably our team’s worst forward in last year’s Playoffs, but the complete 180 he’s made in this year’s Playoffs is what you’d read if you looked up Fountain Of Youth on the internet. Also, with the third-period […]
