Dallas has plenty of extra cap space with Tyler Seguin on LTIR. They’ve already added Granlund and Ceci from the San Jose Sharks and have yet to get solid production from them, albeit only being a handful of games played.

With the Islanders five points outside the Wild Card standings, they dropped back-to-back games to the Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild before the 4 Nations break. The press is on for the Islanders to pile on some points prior to the trade deadline and decide their fate this season.
