Dallas has won four straight games as they travel to New York to put their streak on the line. This is the first game of a five-game road trip for a Stars team that is 8-8-0 on the road this season. Dallas has played good hockey lately, with a 7-2-1 record in their last ten games. 

New York Rangers News & Notes:

The Rangers have won 2 of their last three games and have shown some signs of breaking out of their season-long malaise. It’s time for the Rangers to right the ship at home if they want to climb back into playoff contention, New York is only 8-9-1 at MSG this season. This is the second and final meeting between these two teams, with the Rangers picking up a 3-1 win in the first matchup on December 20, with Vincent Trocheck netting the game-winner.

Players To Watch:

Dallas Stars

During Dallas’ four-game winning streak, Matt Duchene has three multipoint games and seven points (2g, 5a) overall. The 33-year-old pivot leads the Stars with 37 points in 38 games played. Duchene has had to pick up the slack with both of his linemates sidelined with injuries. 

New York Rangers 

Chris Kreider has had a tough season for the Rangers, the power forward is on pace for 32 points this season after having 39 GOALS last year. The rugged left wing has shown signs of life lately, with points in three straight games. Kreider and the Rangers hope the veteran winger is turning the corner and can produce in the second half of the season as the Rangers try to push for a playoff spot.
