The Red Wings picked up a 3-2 shootout win over the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday. It was the Red Wings fourth straight win as they’ve now climbed within two points of the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. They finished January going 10-3-1 and averaging 3.43 goals per game and allowing an average of 2.71 goals per game.

Calgary Flames News & Notes: 

The Flames snapped a two game skid on Thursday with a 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks. With the win they moved back into the final wild card spot in the Western Conference. They finished January going 7-6-0 averaging 2.77 goals per game and also allowing an average of two 2.77 goals per game. Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost will make their debuts tonight as well after being acquired on Thursday.
