The Red Wings got back in the win column on Sunday with a much-needed win over the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0. They are now 2-6-0 in March and are averaging 2.9 goals per game while allowing an average of 3.1 goals per game. Petr Mrazek has made three straight starts going 2-1-0 with a 2.01 goals-against average, a .920 save percentage, and a shutout.

Washington Capitals News & Notes:

The Capitals got back in the win column as well with a 5-1 win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday. They’ve now won six of their last seven games averaging 4.1 goals per game while allowing 2.6 goals per game. Alex Ovechkin scored on Saturday and is now eight goals away from breaking the all-time goals record.
