The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Nashville Predators 5-1 on Thursday night. Leon Draisaitl led the offense with two goals and an assist. Calvin Pickard stopped 26 of 27 shots for the victory. Edmonton’s offense is 30th in the league with 27 goals scored. The Oilers are expecting the five-goal outburst in Nashville to be a sign the offense is getting on-tracked.

Calgary Flames News & Notes:

The Calgary Flames snapped a four-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night. Dan Vladar picked up his third career shutout with 22 saves in the win. The Flames are 12th in the NHL with 34 goals against. This is the second meeting this season in The Battle of Alberta, the Flames won the first game 4-1.
