Edmonton Oilers News & Notes

Edmonton is in a heated battle with the Los Angeles Kings in the Pacific Division standings. They have won four of their last five games, and things are going well for the Oilers. The Oilers recently got the news that Evander Kane’s injury would likely keep him out for the entire regular season, giving Edmonton plenty of options for additions at the trade deadline.

Chicago Blackhawks News & Notes

Chicago is in the second night of a back-to-back after losing 5-3 to the Red Wings last night. While going 2-3 in their last five games and being last in the Central Division, things are as expected for the Hawks this season. As this team starts to look toward the future, they’ve got plenty of questions and not enough answers…yet. The Trade Deadline will be another interesting time for the Blackhawks this year.

Players To Watch:

Edmonton Oilers

Connor McDavid has 14 points in his last 10 games and leads the Oilers in assists. Leon Draisaitl leads the team in goals and points, with eight goals in the last 10 games.

Chicago Blackhawks

Arvid Soderblom has had an ‘okay’ year for the Blackhawks, being the better of the two goaltenders statistically. If the Hawks have hopes of beating the Oilers this evening, he must be stellar in net.

Opinion: The Red Wings are Closer than You Think

By the time it was over, the 2023-24 season gave little hope to Red Wings fans.
