Edmonton Oilers:

Notes: Edmonton has played better of late, after a rough 0-3-0 start they’ve won their last two games. Connor McDavid finally broke the goose egg and scored in their 4-2 win over Nashville on Thursday. McDavid is off to a slow start, for him, but he still leads the team in scoring with 5 points in 5 games.

Dallas Stars Notes:

The Oilers and Stars meet for the first time since the Western Conference Final which was won by Edmonton in six games. The last game in Dallas was a 3-1 Oilers victory in Game 5. Dallas was 2-0-1 in the regular season against Edmonton last year. The Stars want revenge to prove they’re the team to beat this season in the West.

Edmonton Oilers Projected Lineup: (subject to change)

Draisaitl-McDavid-Hyman
Janmark-Nugent-Hopkins-Arvidsson
Skinner-Henrique-Brown
Podkolzin-Ryan-Perry

Ekholm-Bouchard
Nurse-Stetcher
Kulak-Emberson

Players To Watch:

Edmonton – Connor McDavid is the easy choice, but after scoring in his last game it feels like the dam is going to burst and McDavid will begin to put up points in bunches. That will be a tough task against a Dallas team that has been especially stingy this season only allowing 8 goals in 5 games.

Dallas – Miro Heiskanen has not recorded a point in his first 5 games of the season. The Stars’ defenseman needs to start producing as Dallas depends on his production from the back end, and on the powerplay to ignite the offense.

Injury Report:

Edmonton
LW Evander Kane – LTIR Month To Month – Est. Return February 22

Dallas
D Matt Dumba – IR Week to Week – Est. Return November 1
F Tyler Seguin – Day to Day – Est. Return October 22
