The Edmonton Oilers will face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday at 5:00 PM MTN (7:00 PM EST), the first of two meetings between the Canadian franchises. The next meeting will be on February 1st in Edmonton, Alberta. The Oilers are coming off a 3-2 overtime win over the Nashville Predators, where Connor McDavid cracked the 1,000-point mark and Darnell Nurse scored the overtime winner. The Maple Leafs are also off a comeback win over the Washington Capitals, winning in overtime after some questionable goals that were called back late in regulation.

The Maple Leafs will be without their captain, Auston Matthews, against the high-flying Oilers. The Oilers are 7-3 in their last 10 games, and it will be a tough task to handle. However, the Maple Leafs have been playing well too, posting a 6-2-2 record in their last 10 games. Both teams will be looking to continue their recent success against each other in a heavyweight Hockey Night in Canada battle.
