The Edmonton Oilers (13-9-2) will face off against the Vegas Golden Knights (15-7-3) tonight at 8:00 PM MT in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the second matchup of the season between these Pacific Division rivals, with Vegas having won the first game 4-2 on November 6th in Edmonton. The Golden Knights are coming off a tough 6-0 shutout loss to Utah, while the Oilers are currently riding a three-game winning streak, with their latest victory coming last Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche.

The Oilers hope to continue their success against the Golden Knights in the regular season, having won four of their last five games in Vegas. However, it’s worth noting that the Golden Knights eliminated Edmonton from the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs in the second round, bringing intensity to this Pacific Division rivalry.

Unfortunately for the Oilers, Zach Hyman will be out of the lineup once again, which means that Kasperi Kapanen will continue to play on the first line alongside Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid. Nugent-Hopkins has performed well against Vegas lately, scoring 12 points (2 goals and 10 assists) in his last nine games against them. He participated in Monday’s full-team practice and took part in Tuesday’s optional morning skate in Vegas, but head coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed that Hyman will miss his fifth straight game. Edmonton’s lineup will remain unchanged for the fourth consecutive game, with Kapanen and Connor Brown in the top six next to McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on the first and second lines.

Edmonton Oilers Lines:
