Edmonton Oilers News & Notes:

Edmonton has lost their last two games, the game before the 4 Nations break to Colorado and the first game after the break 6-3 last night in Philadelphia. The Oilers’ play has dipped recently, with a 5-4-1 record in their last ten games. Edmonton needs to turn things around as they prepare for what should be a long playoff run.

Washington Capitals News & Notes:

The Capitals have been up and down lately, with three losses in their last six games, but all of the defeats have come in overtime or the shootout. Washington has managed to go 6-1-3 in their last ten games as they continue to bank points even when they aren’t picking up the victories. The Capitals won the first meeting between these teams with a 3-2 victory on January 21 in Edmonton. Washington will be looking to sweep the season series, while Edmonton is trying to even the score in what could potentially be a Stanley Cup Preview.
