The Panthers fell to Ottawa on Thursday and are now with Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk. Barkov injured himself crashing into the boards Thursday and Tkachuk has an illness. Anton Lundell moves to the first-line center.

Buffalo Sabres Notes:

The Sabres are winless and need a victory desperately at home. Buffalo dominated the Los Angeles Kings in the home opener for two periods before the Kings pulled away with a 3-1 win.
