Los Angeles Kings News & Notes:

The Kings are in a comfortable third place in the Pacific Division despite the outcome of facing the Edmonton Oilers in the first round yet again. After tonight’s game, the Kings will face the Hurricanes, Bruins, and Rangers on a three-game homestand.

The franchise and the fanbase have felt Connor Bedard’s frustration. There’s no doubt that Kyle Davidson will need to make major changes this Summer to make this team more competitive. Chicago currently holds the second-best odds of the first overall pick at the 2025 NHL Draft.

Players To Watch:

Los Angeles Kings

Quinton Byfield has four goals in the last five games and is turning on the offensive ability lately. With rumors swirling around Byfield prior to the Trade Deadline, it never made sense for the Kings to trade him. Byfield has the ability to be a pillar of the Kings roster for many years to come.

Chicago Blackhawks

Ryan Donato leads the team in goals scored with 23 and has four assists in the last five games. While the Blackhawks didn’t trade Donato at the deadline, it’s believed they will get to a contract extension before the end of the season.
