Los Angeles Kings News & Notes:

In his first game since October 14, Goaltender Darcy Keumper stopped 24 of 26 shots en route to a 3-2 win over the Utah Hockey Club. Kings defensemen scored all three goals in the win, with Joel Edmundson netting a pair of tallies and Brandt Clarke adding a goal and an assist.

San Jose Sharks News & Notes:

The Sharks have already set a record for futility as the only team in history to start back-to-back seasons without a win through the first nine games. Last night, the Sharks were able to get in the win column against the Utah Hockey Club. But it doesn’t get any easier as the Los Angeles Kings travel to San Jose tonight. The Kings are in 2nd place in the Pacific Division behind the idle Vegas Golden Knights.

Players To Watch:

Los Angeles Kings

21-year-old Kings defenseman Brandt Clarke has shaken off a bad performance, a 6-1 loss on Tuesday in Vegas, where he was a -3 with three giveaways, to rebound nicely. In his last two games, Clarke has 3 points (1g, 2a) and a +2.

San Jose Sharks

Fabian Zetterlund has points in 2 straight games with an assist in a 7-3 loss to Vegas and a goal in a comeback win against Utah. The young winger has shown some promise this season with 4 goals and is on pace to surpass his career high in goals (24) which he achieved during the 2023-24 season.
