Minnesota Wild News & Notes:

Possible reinforcements are on the way for Minnesota as Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek are on the road trip and practicing with the team. Coach John Hynes believes neither player will play on the trip because they haven’t taken contact yet it’s a sign the players are getting close to a return. Minnesota is now tied with St. Louis for the first Wild Card spot, if the Wild can hang on for a few more games they should be able to get into the playoffs and have two of their top six forwards back to provide a boost.

New Jersey Devils News & Notes:

The Devils defeated the Wild in Minnesota on Saturday night 5-2. Captain Nico Hischier delivered a hat trick in the victory. This will be the second and final meeting between these clubs this season. New Jersey is comfortably in third place in the Metropolitan Division with an eight-point lead over the New York Rangers with seven games to play. This will be the second and final meeting between these clubs this season.
