Minnesota Wild News & Notes:

Minnesota travels to Vegas in tonight’s matchup of two of the best teams in the Western Conference. Minnesota boasts the best road record in the NHL at 16-3-3 as they try to start another winning streak after defeating the Sharks 3-1 at home yesterday. The Wild are 7-3-0 in their last ten despite being gutted by injuries to their defense and goaltending during this stretch.

Vegas Golden Knights News & Notes:

The Golden Knights have dropped their last two games after winning three straight games. The Knights will look to get back on track against a depleted Wild team that is still playing excellent hockey. The Golden Knights took the first of three matchups between these clubs with a 3-2 victory in Minnesota on December 15. Victor Olofsson had two goals, including the game-winner in the victory.

Johansson-Eriksson Ek-Hartman
Foligno-Gaudreau-Trenin

Players To Watch:

Minnesota Wild

Matt Boldy had a goal and an assist in the Wild’s 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks yesterday. Boldy has three goals in his last four games to go along with three assists for six points in four games in January. The 23-year-old winger has 37 points (16g, 21a) on the season and is on pace for a 71-point season that would be the best season of his burgeoning career.

Vegas Golden Knights

Mark Stone has goals in four of his last five games and has 36 points in only 28 games this season. Stone is an unbelievable +21 over that span. The 32-year-old winger has dealt with injuries over the past 3-4 seasons but there is no better two-way forward right now when healthy. Stone is on pace for a 70-point season that would be the best season of his 14-year career.
