Cole Caufield scored twice and Nick Suzuki had four points to lead the Montreal Canadiens to a 7-5 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Monday night. Montreal snapped a six-game losing streak with the win. Montreal sits in last place in the Atlantic Division, 3 points behind Buffalo. Montreal travels to Minnesota tonight to face the Wild, the Canadiens are 2-5-1 away from the Bell Centre.

Cole Caufield scored two goals in the Canadiens’ last game giving him 12 goals on the season, which ties the speedy winger with Mikko Rantanen, Sam Reinhart, Leon Draisaitl, and William Nylander for the league lead in goals.

Minnesota Wild

Karil Kaprizov is on pace for his 4th straight 40-goal season, and his second 100+ point season in his career. The 27-year-old Russian set the league on fire since joining the Wild for the 2021-22 season. Kaprizov is currently second in the NHL scoring race with 28 points (9g, 19a) and is first in the league with a +14 rating in 15 games.
