Montreal began a three-game homestand with a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators last Saturday. The Canadiens, however, struggled in portions of their 6-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday and 4-1 setback to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.

New York Islanders Notes:

The Isles dropped a 5-4 overtime loss to the Utah Hockey Club in the home opener on Oct. 10 and posted a 6-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Monday that was part of a 1-1-1 road trip. On Thursday, the Islanders were shut out for the second time this season in a 1-0 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues.
