The Predators picked up their fifth straight win and their seventh win in their last nine games as they beat the San Jose Sharks for the second consecutive game in a 6-5 win on Thursday night. Justus Annunen got the start in that one and continued his win streak as he is now 4-0-0 in his last four games with a 2.73 goals against average and a .905 save percentage. Filip Forsberg continued his hot streak as he has 17 points in January and is on a nine-game point streak; he has nine goals and eight assists this month.

Anaheim Ducks News & Notes:

The Ducks snapped their four-game losing streak on Thursday with a 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Ducks’ goals came from Frank Vatrano, Alex Killorn, and Mason McTavish; Killorn and McTavish had two goals each. Anaheim leads the Predators by one point and are nine points back of the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference.
